Apple's Platform Architecture group is seeking a highly motivated & energetic System Architect to develop next generation products.




**Key Qualifications**

* The ideal candidate will have 15 years and core competencies in system and chip architecture:* Demonstrated expertise in SOC hardware architecture (low power architecture, microprocessor, memory, storage, display, graphics, video, and media), hardware-software interfaces, inter-chip interconnect & bus protocols, wireless interfaces, power regulation, peak power management & battery charging architectures, system signal-integrity & power supply integrity analysis, and system desense & coexistence mitigation

* Understanding of software including firmware, OS, and applications

* Authorship of detailed specifications, performance, and power models

* Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills (cross-functional and executive)

* Excellent documentation skills * *


**Description**

As a member of the Systems Architecture team, you will be collaborating with the teams responsible for system, silicon, software, and mechanical design. Your responsibilities will include:

* Guide product architecture so features may be used across multiple systems

* Develop new features with a 3-5 year time horizon

* Assess and guide product system integration feasibility, feature & implementation trade-offs of new technologies

* Collaborate over optimal performance/power tradeoffs, use cases, and programming paradigms

* Imagine new system architectures

* Review, challenge, & influence cross-functional roadmaps?* Create and review internal and external specifications?for features and chips

* Define and model product performance and energy consumption?* Define, develop, and utilize tools, scripts, and other methods of system analysis

* Predict & prepare for future product system integration & interconnect needs?


**Education**

EE/CS Masters or PhD
