About The Opportunity

What you’ll do

Engineer responsible for process/product development and operations support focuses on vacuum deposition of thin films coatings.

Core Responsibilities:

Duties & Responsibilities

* Develop vacuum deposition coating processes for new products

* Improve vacuum deposition coating processes for existing products

* Provide expert technical support to operations to sustain production vacuum equipment including control systems

* Lead vacuum equipment improvement and expansion projects

* Provide expert problem solving and root cause analysis support

* Develop process specifications

* Train production support staff and operators

About you

Required Qualifications:

* BS or advanced degree in engineering or physical science field such as chemical engineering, materials engineering/science, physics or chemistry.

* Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial development or technical support experience

* 3+ years of experience of physical vapor deposition (evaporation, sputtering) systems and technology including production scale processes

* U.S. Citizenship required

Additional Qualifications:

* Experience with new product development desired

* Familiarity with polymer processing including autoclave lamination desired

* Strong computer skills

* Strong continuous improvement and problem solving skills

* Excellent communication skills
