Our client in Fairfield, CA has an immediate opening for a Software Developer for an ongoing contract assignment.

Position: Software Developer

Location: Fairfield, CA

Duration: Ongoing Contract

Compensation: 36.49 per hour (Sorry no PTO or Holiday pay)

Qualified candidate must have experience with ESRI ArcGIS (10.3.X and higher), to design, implement and maintain a geographic information system including database design and system interfaces.

Essential job functions:

* Develop and maintain GIS databases.

* Assist customers in designing and deploying applications for data conversion, data collection, and other applications using ArcMap, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, SQL Server.

* Develop FME workflows for ETL and analysis.

* Work with a variety of Professionals in Health, Human Services, Planning, Facility Mgt., Engineering, ROV, Law Enforcement and other governmental services.

* Maintain and Create End User/Action plans and other documentation on all related GIS projects.

* Provide technical support related to GIS functions.

* Conduct spatial analysis and develop statistical reports.

* Prepare reports of geographical statistics based on spatial data.

* Provide support and training in the use of GIS.

* Perform related duties as required. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst.

* Work with other Department of Information Technology GIS technologist in a team environment.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Experience with ESRI ArcGIS (10.3.x and higher) to design, implement and maintain a geographic information system including data base design and system interfaces

* Experience in cadastral and/or survey drafting with CAD and/or GIS products.

* Experience with ESRI parcel editing workflows.

* Working Knowledge with ESRI Roads and Highways and LRS modeling

* Experience working within a ArcGIS versioning environment.

* Experience with ArcMap working within a Windows network environment.

* Experience with Local Government Information Model (LGIM), geodatabases and relational databases.

* Understanding of FME workflows.

* Understanding of Local Government workflows and structure.

* Ability to demonstrate, planning, organizing and implement GIS projects.

* Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.

* Good oral and written communication skills.

* Ability to design web based GIS applications with ESRI

* Basic understanding and some experience in programming languages such as JavaScript and HTML5.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, or closely related field

* Two (2) years' experience in GIS or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
