Job Description:

Job Summary:

+ Reporting to the Director of SBMF, Loan Processor is responsible for providing a high level of exceptional service to SBMF staff, and customers for multi-family real estate loan transactions within this 100 year old financial company.

+ Position is responsible for ensuring that key documents and forms required to process, underwrite and fund a loan are collected in a timely manner and reviewed for completeness.

+ Works with SBMF staff, Loan Funding staff, brokers and loan applicants to follow up on any missing items.

+ Works closely with title companies to open new title orders, escrow.


+ 30%: Work with Director throughout the loan inquiry process including: (1) issuance of needs list for loan applications as well as monitoring and reviewing received needs list items; (2) follow up with brokers and loan applicants on any outstanding items; (3) work with Director to order third party reports and title, as well as assist with arranging site visits; (4) upload files to SharePoint. 40%: Work in partnership with SBMF underwriters and Loan Funding staff during the entire underwriting/funding process including: (1) review and submission of material required for KYC; (2) assist underwriters with following up on any missing items or items that may need updating; (3) perform a cursory review of preliminary title reports and any underlying documents; (4) obtain ACH forms from loan applicants; (5) monitor loan costs and assist Loan Funding with preparation of closing statements; (6) assist with coordinating execution of loan documents. 20%: Assist SBMF and Loan Funding Staff with uploading and organizing files; assist Director with updating Salesforce and pipeline management reports; assist with compliance and CRA reporting as well as with internal and external exams.


+ Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

+ Requires a minimum of 5 years' experience with processing commercial real estate loans.

+ Must possess strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

+ Ability to multi-task and work well under competing deadlines.
