**Job Summary**

Job Description:

This is a People Manager and Leadership role within the procurement organization. This positions responsibilities include driving all aspects of strategic and operational elements of the business. This person will own all aspects of this commodity space and will manage and mentor a team of Global Supply Managers. Acting as a key interface between global commodity specialists, WW Materials, strategic suppliers and Apple contract manufacturers.

**Key Qualifications**

* Managing the development and implementation of procurement initiatives

* Strategic price and contract negotiations

* Interfacing with Engineering for new product development strategy and implementation, optimizing material selection to maintain lowest cost, predictable availability, and industry leadership in quality

* Establish and develop strategic sourcing strategies and supplier relationships

* Ensure product availability on a daily basis, managing excellent supplier flexibility while maintaining total lowest cost cradle to grave

* Interface with suppliers, contract manufactures, and Apple internal cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution and support business goals and objectives

* Develop and drive team to achieve established goals and objectives**Description**

The role requires a proactive work ethic, relationship-building skills, analytical skills, strategic thinking, communication skills, resourcefulness, the ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members, multi-tasking, and time management skills.

BS in engineering or BA degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent experience

8+ years in a procurement-focused role

Experience and skill in negotiating, business math, contracting, report building, supply base research, creating presentations and spreadsheets, utilizing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or Keynote

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader/ people manager, significant Far East manufacturing experience, strong understanding of Quality principles and possesses a EE degree.
