**Job Summary**

The Hardware Engineering group is responsible for all research, design, development, test and qualification of optics hardware for Apple products. The team is looking for an Camera Characterization Engineer to work on image quality testing, benchmarking and characterization of Apple camera products.

**Key Qualifications**

* Experience in camera characterization methodology and instrumentation

* Ability to perform comprehensive optical and image quality characterization of camera and sensor modules

* Experience with developing and documenting lab procedures and best practices

* Proficient with general purpose computation software: Matlab, Python, etc.

* Hands-on experience in lab management and equipment maintenance/calibration

* Understanding of modern camera production practices and procedures

* Demonstrated ability to work independently

* Proficient English language skill with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.**Description**

Core Responsibilities:

Camera characterization and image quality testing.

Develop and document test procedures.

Train and oversee technicians.

Camera lab management and equipment maintenance.


Minimum: Bachelors degree in physics or engineering with 5+ years of experience in hands-on lab testing and management.

**Additional Requirements**


Proficiency in Zemax, CodeV, etc

Working knowledge of optomechanics

Must be high energy, multi-tasker, resourceful problem solver, ability to work under pressure, take initiative
